A Quote for My Caretakers’ Anniversary

A personal note from SeeBee:

Today marks my caretaker‘s 19th wedding anniversary.  I was introduced to “That Guy” about 6 years before I died at the ripe old age of 16.  You can read about it here.  I just want to wish them a very happy anniversary.

I also understand that their new cat, Grace, — who can try, but will never take my place — is partial to “That Guy.” She even sends him cards for all the holidays.  What a mensch.

Anyway, I thought I’d trot out a suitable quote to mark their anniversary today.

The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It’s a choice you make – not just on your wedding day, but over and over again — and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife.
